CorpsAfrica, a non-profit organization founded in 2011 by former Peace Corps Volunteer Liz Fanning, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join their team in Kampala, Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized office environment, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. The Office Assistant will report to the Executive Assistant and contribute to maintaining a professional and welcoming workspace that reflects CorpsAfrica's values of respect, service, and integrity. Key duties include office maintenance and cleanliness, administrative support, office consumables and inventory management, staff and guest support, and ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration, Secretarial Studies, Business Studies, or a related field. Additionally, at least one year of relevant experience providing clerical, cleaning, or administrative support in an office or related work environment is required. Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email, as well as record-keeping, filing, and simple inventory management skills, are also essential.

The Office Assistant will be responsible for managing waste disposal, ensuring the availability of drinking water, tea, and other refreshments for staff and guests, and supporting the reception area by welcoming visitors and directing them appropriately. The role also involves delivering and collecting documents, parcels, and supplies within Kampala and to partner offices when required.
