The Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, announced that construction of the 120-bed Specialised Trauma and Emergency Hospital at Bole in the Savannah Region has commenced. The hospital will cover an area of 16,000 square meters and feature state-of-the-art medical facilities. The project aims to enhance emergency and trauma care services in the region.

The hospital will have a 24-hour Accident and Emergency Unit, trauma resuscitation bays, emergency operating theatres, an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and a High Dependency Unit (HDU). Additionally, it will include specialized trauma wards, a burns treatment unit, orthopedic and surgical units, as well as imaging and diagnostic facilities. These features will enable the hospital to provide comprehensive medical care to patients.
