The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) in Enugu State has expressed satisfaction with the recently conducted council election in the state, describing it as peaceful, free, fair, and credible. This commendation was made during a press conference in Enugu on Monday. The CRPP praised the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC), security agencies, and stakeholders for creating a conducive atmosphere for the election.
According to ENSIEC's Chairman, Prof. Chris Ngwu, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) won all 17 chairmanship and 260 ward councillorship seats in the state. The election results were announced at ENSIEC's headquarters on Sunday. The APC's landslide victory was a significant event in the state's political landscape.
CRPP's Chairman in Enugu State, Dr. Afam Ani, attributed the peaceful atmosphere during the election to the efforts of ENSIEC in providing a level playing field for all participating political parties.
