Children International Zambia (CIZ), a nonprofit organization, is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Field Officer FO1 in the Makululu and Katondo areas of Kabwe. CIZ is an affiliate of Children International, a global organization that provides child and youth development programming to break the cycle of generational poverty. The organization serves 220,000 young people in 10 countries worldwide.

The Field Officer FO1 will play a central role in implementing the Child Path Model, CIZ's strategy for helping children and youth break the cycle of poverty. The model involves a global skill-building curriculum, community partnerships, and targeted safety net interventions. The Field Officer will engage directly with participants, their families, community volunteers, and local institutions to make the Child Path Model a reality.

The responsibilities of the Field Officer FO1 include coordinating with Club Facilitators, who lead Child Path clubs, and coaching them to deliver high-quality curriculum sessions. The Field Officer will also establish and maintain partnerships with Service Delivery Points (SDPs), where Child Path clubs meet, and coordinate logistics to ensure seamless program delivery.

The Field Officer FO1 will be responsible for creating, scheduling, and coordinating Child Path clubs, maintaining attendance records, and monitoring club alignment to the planned program delivery schedule. The officer will also collect and analyze feedback from participants and Club Facilitators to identify areas for program improvement.

In terms of participant administration, the Field Officer FO1 will communicate with participants and their families to ensure ongoing engagement in programs, facilitate participant referrals to safety net services as needed, and identify, register, and onboard new participants into the program. The officer will also collect required Sponsorship Relations products, including letters, photos, and family records.

To qualify for the position, candidates should have a background in a relevant field such as social work, community development, or education, and at least 2 years of relevant work or volunteer experience in sponsorship-based or community development organizations. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build effective relationships with children, youth, volunteers, and colleagues, and comfort using MS Office Suite are also required.

The successful candidate will be expected to work primarily in the different SDPs and communities where clubs are administered, with a work schedule that includes regular weekend and evening hours depending on club schedules. The position offers a fixed-term contract of 2 years, renewable, and is open to individuals who are passionate about combatting poverty and supporting social service and humanitarian causes.
