On October 1, 2026, the Chadian National Youth Council (CNJT) in Mandoul province organized a ceremony to distribute school kits to vulnerable children and teenage mothers in Koumra. The event took place at the Don Champagnat cultural center and also benefited children supported by the "La Voix des sans voix" (The Voice of the Voiceless) association. This initiative is part of the CNJT's efforts to support youth and vulnerable persons.
The CNJT's Mandoul section handed over school kits to several children in vulnerable situations, including teenage mothers in Koumra. The beneficiaries include children cared for by the "La Voix des sans voix" association. According to the association, this initiative is a significant support for the schooling of children from disadvantaged families and a source of hope for some teenage mothers who had never had the opportunity to attend school.
Robmadje Ismaël, coordinator of "La Voix des sans voix," explained that his commitment to vulnerable children is linked to his own life story. He is an orphan who grew up at the Betsalel orphanage in Koumra. After completing his education, he felt a mission to help other orphaned and vulnerable children. The association, created in 2017, works in several areas to support children and vulnerable persons.
"La Voix des sans voix" provides protection, psychological support, awareness-raising, and educational support, as well as organizing recreational activities. The association also offers social and spiritual support to contribute to the development and future integration of these children into society. According to Ismaël, the challenges faced by these children are numerous, including early loss of parents, family separation, and economic difficulties.
Some children are forced to sell products to enroll in school, while others attend school irregularly due to hunger. Children with disabilities, such as hearing or motor impairments, are also vulnerable. The association has chosen to support vulnerable persons without distinction, including children, persons with disabilities, and teenage mothers.
The distribution of school kits is a concrete support to enable beneficiaries to resume or continue their education in better conditions. For teenage mothers, this initiative opens up new perspectives. Ismaël praised the commitment of the CNJT's provincial coordinator, Amine Tomalbaye, and the support of those who contributed to this action.
This initiative demonstrates the importance of collaboration between youth organizations and structures engaged with vulnerable persons. It encourages continued efforts to support education and child protection in Mandoul province. The CNJT's initiative has brought hope to vulnerable children and teenage mothers in Koumra.
