The Réseau des jeunes pour le développement et le leadership au Tchad (RJDLT) is intensifying preparations for the 10th edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (SME), set to take place from November 16 to 21, 2026. In anticipation of the event, a meeting was held on October 31, 2026, with institutional actors and partners engaged in promoting youth entrepreneurship. This initiative has been working since 2017 to encourage young people to believe in their ideas and develop their entrepreneurial spirit.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week, organized under the accreditation of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), provides a platform for meetings, experience sharing, and mobilization of entrepreneurial ecosystem actors. The RJDLT meeting aimed to present the activity program, gather partner contributions, and strengthen collaborations in favor of Chad's youth. The meeting targeted representatives of public institutions, technical and financial partners, banks, private sector actors, incubators, and youth and women's organizations.

The director of Youth Entrepreneurship at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Oumar Djibrine, participated in the discussions and emphasized the importance of institutional support in developing entrepreneurship. He recalled that his department's mission is to contribute to establishing a favorable legal framework for the emergence and growth of entrepreneurial initiatives led by young people. Djibrine also noted that entrepreneurship is a demanding field with strong competition and no guaranteed success.

To better structure the sector, the director's department is working on a strategic document titled "National Youth Entrepreneurship Policy," which will be accompanied by a five-year action plan. This policy aims to create an enabling environment for young entrepreneurs to thrive. The RJDLT's efforts to promote entrepreneurship among Chad's youth align with the country's aspirations for economic growth and development.

The 10th Global Entrepreneurship Week will provide a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their ideas, network with potential partners, and learn from experienced entrepreneurs. The event is expected to attract a diverse range of participants, including young people, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers. By promoting entrepreneurship, the RJDLT and its partners aim to empower young people to become job creators and contribute to Chad's economic development.

The RJDLT's initiative has been instrumental in promoting entrepreneurship among Chad's youth, and the 10th Global Entrepreneurship Week is expected to build on previous successes. The event will offer workshops, conferences, and networking opportunities, providing a valuable experience for participants. By fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, the RJDLT and its partners hope to inspire young people to become agents of change and contribute to Chad's economic growth.

As the 10th Global Entrepreneurship Week approaches, the RJDLT and its partners are working tirelessly to ensure a successful event. With the support of institutional actors and partners, the RJDLT is confident that the event will achieve its objectives and make a lasting impact on Chad's entrepreneurial ecosystem. The event's success will be measured by its ability to inspire young people to pursue entrepreneurial ventures and create a positive impact on the country's economy.
