Cash Plus and Damanesign have partnered to increase access to qualified electronic signature certificates in Morocco. The partnership, announced in Casablanca, allows Cash Plus to act as a delegated registration authority and open 13 agencies across 11 cities as deposit and collection points for certificates issued by Damanesign. This service targets companies, public institutions, and professionals as administrative and business procedures move online.
The partnership enables users to visit a participating Cash Plus agency to file their application, complete identity verification, and collect a secure USB key holding their certificate once Damanesign validates the request. The USB key allows holders to complete operations requiring an electronic signature, such as customs declarations through BADR, public procurement, Rokhas, and GID Fournisseurs. The initial phase covers agencies in Agadir, Casablanca, Dakhla, Fez, Kenitra, Laayoune, Marrakech, Nador, Oujda, Rabat, and Tanger.
The service is open to companies of any legal form, public institutions, regulated professions like notaries, experts, and lawyers, and import-export operators. Each partner maintains a defined role, with Cash Plus providing its branch network and in-person onboarding, while Damanesign issues certificates and ensures their compliance. Nabil Amar, CEO of Cash Plus, stated that the agreement aims to bring clients closer to services linked to their professional routine.
Amar emphasized that Cash Plus contributes to making the journey more accessible and simpler for concerned companies and professionals while respecting each actor's roles and responsibilities. Zouhair Hamdaoui, CEO of Damanesign, framed the collaboration as a pairing of technology and physical proximity, enabling users to have a clear and accessible journey. Hamdaoui described the deal as a way to bring Damanesign's certificates closer to businesses and professionals in several regions of Morocco.
The setup operates under Law 43-20 on trust services for electronic transactions, with Damanesign issuing qualified certificates for electronic signature and electronic seal as a trust service provider approved by the Directorate General of Information Systems Security (DGSSI). For Cash Plus, the agreement extends its move beyond money transfers, having become Morocco's first listed fintech when it joined the Casablanca Stock Exchange in December 2025.
Cash Plus operates over 5,500 agencies and serves more than 12 million customers, having recently introduced instant bank transfers, QR-code mobile payments, and partnerships with Orange Maroc, PayPal, and Western Union. In the first half of 2026, its consolidated net banking income rose 15% to MAD 476 million ($47.6 million). The Damanesign deal fits into this direction, adding a trust-related service to Cash Plus's network.
The partnership allows Cash Plus to add a trust-related service to its network, while Damanesign gains reach into regions where businesses may have had limited access to qualified electronic signatures. The collaboration aims to make electronic signatures more accessible to companies and professionals across Morocco, supporting the growth of digital services in the country.
