The Rotaract Club Abidjan-Adjamé has officially launched its 2026-2027 mandate, marking the occasion with its 17th solemn entrance at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Institute of Political Training in Cocody on September 22, 2026. The event was themed "Creating a Lasting Impact." This new mandate is built on the principles of responsibility, service, and commitment to the community, as stated by club president Nafissatou Kaboré.
According to Nafissatou Kaboré, creating an impact is not just about organizing events or conducting one-time actions. It involves leaving a lasting legacy that continues to benefit the community long after the club's direct involvement. The goal is to implement actions that are not only useful but also sustainable. Kaboré emphasized that the club aims to do better and make a meaningful difference through its initiatives.
Nafissatou Kaboré encouraged club members to view the organization as a platform for personal growth, where they can take on responsibilities and contribute to collective efforts. She urged them to critically assess the impact of their actions, questioning who benefits from their initiatives, what changes they aim to provoke, and how they can ensure their efforts have a lasting effect.
Samba Yatassaye, president of the Rotary Club Abidjan-Adjamé and mentor to the Rotaract Club, praised the initiatives of the Rotaract members and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the leadership team in achieving their projects. The club's agenda for the mandate includes several key activities, such as donating birth kits to the maternity ward at Adjamé Hospital and organizing a "Dictée de l'Espoir" for primary school students in the commune.
The launch event saw the participation of members from Rotary International and Rotaract, along with associative leaders, youth leaders, and various actors engaged in community development. The ceremony also included an awards segment, highlighting notable contributions and achievements. This mandate's focus on sustainability and community impact aligns with the club's vision for meaningful and lasting change.
The Rotaract Club Abidjan-Adjamé's initiatives are designed to be collaborative, with several planned in conjunction with other Rotaract clubs. This approach aims to amplify their impact and engage a broader audience in their community service efforts. By focusing on long-term effects, the club seeks to contribute to substantial and positive changes within the community.
As the club embarks on its 2026-2027 mandate, it is clear that creating a lasting impact will be central to its activities. With a series of planned events and projects, the Rotaract Club Abidjan-Adjamé is poised to make a significant contribution to community development in Côte d'Ivoire.
