Bogui Romaric has been elected as the new departmental coordinator of Côte d'Ivoire's Parliament of Young Leaders (PJLCI) in Jacqueville. His three-year term began on October 3, 2026, with an investiture ceremony at the Jacqueville town hall. The event was themed "Youth Participation in Good Governance: Opportunities and Challenges." Romaric outlined his commitment to serving the youth in Jacqueville and Côte d'Ivoire. He presented his program, focusing on civic engagement, socio-professional integration, and promoting peace and social cohesion.

Romaric's program of action is built around three main priorities. The first priority is to strengthen civic engagement and volunteerism among young people in Jacqueville's villages and neighborhoods. The second priority involves promoting socio-professional integration and training in promising sectors. The third priority focuses on consolidating peace, social cohesion, and a culture of dialogue. Romaric emphasized his commitment to transparency, diligence, and impartiality in carrying out his duties.

During the investiture ceremony, Romaric called on young people to participate in achieving his objectives and sought support from local authorities. He aims to contribute to the emergence of an active youth that is aware of its responsibilities and engaged in local development. Meité Daouda, president of the Federation of Active Youth Associations and Movements of Côte d'Ivoire (FAMACI), was the ceremony's sponsor.

Meité Daouda advised Romaric to promote responsibility, transparency, and citizen participation within his organization. He encouraged Romaric to make the Parliament a family, not a clan, and to draw inspiration from proven leaders. Daouda also urged PJLCI members in Jacqueville to take an active role in local development, demonstrating commitment, responsibility, competence, and solidarity.

The PJLCI was created by young Ivoirians who want to contribute to their country's development. The organization presents itself as apolitical and inclusive, providing a framework for dialogue, training, and reflection. It promotes peace, democracy, and respect for human rights. Romaric's election and program reflect the organization's goals and the aspirations of Jacqueville's youth.

Romaric's priorities align with the needs of Côte d'Ivoire's youth. Many young people in the country face challenges in accessing education, employment, and socio-economic opportunities. By focusing on civic engagement, socio-professional integration, and peace promotion, Romaric aims to address some of these challenges and empower Jacqueville's youth.

The success of Romaric's initiatives will depend on collaboration with local authorities, PJLCI members, and other stakeholders. His commitment to transparency and impartiality will be crucial in building trust and achieving his objectives. As Côte d'Ivoire continues to develop, the role of young leaders like Romaric will be essential in shaping the country's future.
