The Chinese company China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) has made significant contributions to three disability care facilities in Agnibilékrou, Côte d'Ivoire. On September 26, 2026, CRBC donated food, materials, and equipment to the Térésa Verzeri center, the Palazzolo rehabilitation center, and the Agnibilékrou physical therapy and functional rehabilitation center. The handover ceremony was attended by local authorities, including Prefect Arnaud Mathieu Kouakou Kouadio and Mayor Siandou Fofana.
The donations included essential items such as food, cleaning materials, buckets, mattresses, mosquito nets, chairs, treadmills, vibrators, crutches, wheelchairs, air conditioners, washing machines, physiological serum, and first-aid kits. These items aim to improve the living conditions and care services provided to people with disabilities in these centers. The event was also marked by the traditional naming of CRBC's General Director, Wang Sing Yu, who was given the name Nanan Kouakou Sibinan by local traditional leaders.
According to Wang Sing Yu, CRBC's commitment goes beyond infrastructure development to include social actions benefiting the local population. He emphasized that the company's presence in Agnibilékrou is not limited to building roads and bridges but also focuses on being close to the people to help them regain autonomy and confidence. Wang Sing Yu's interest in rehabilitation issues stems from his personal experience, having undergone rehabilitation after suffering an Achilles tendon rupture.
The Mayor of Agnibilékrou, Siandou Fofana, welcomed CRBC's initiative and highlighted the company's contribution to local development. In addition to CRBC's donations, the mayor also made a personal contribution of one million CFA francs to support the purchase of food and materials for the beneficiaries. Fofana praised CRBC's commitment to vulnerable populations and noted that their actions align with the municipality's development goals.
CRBC has been actively involved in infrastructure development in Agnibilékrou, having already completed 11 kilometers of road construction. The company plans to undertake additional projects, including the construction of five more kilometers of roads, some of which will serve areas frequently used for large events.
