The President of the Special Consular Delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso (CCI-BF), Roland Achille Sow, visited the Fassi Industrial Complex (CIDF) in Pabré on November 3, 2026. The visit aimed to encourage national industrial initiatives, understand the company's operations, and identify challenges. The complex, initiated by economic operator Mady Sawadogo, continues to develop in the detergent manufacturing sector.

During the visit, Sow and his delegation toured the company's facilities, including the manufacturing unit and laboratory. This allowed them to appreciate the production process and efforts made to offer locally manufactured products. Sow stated that the visit demonstrates the consular institution's commitment to supporting national businesses. He noted that the complex, inaugurated in March 2025 by President Captain Ibrahim Traoré, is an initiative to be encouraged, particularly for its job creation.

The Fassi Industrial Complex employs over 200 Burkinabè and creates indirect jobs, while providing made-in-Burkina Faso products. Sow praised the quality of Fassi products and encouraged the management and workers to continue their efforts. He emphasized the importance of supporting Burkina Faso's industrial development, citing the transformation of local raw materials as a key lever to reduce dependence on imports.

The complex has undertaken expansion works, requiring increased support. Sow acknowledged that creating an industrial unit demands significant sacrifices and support from authorities. The CCI-BF president's visit was welcomed by the company, with Director-General Abdoul Karim Dianda expressing gratitude for the interest shown in the company's activities.

Dianda stated that the visit motivates the personnel to reinforce the availability of detergent products for Burkinabè consumers. However, the company faces challenges, and Dianda requested CCI-BF's support in providing advice and facilitating the resolution of operational constraints. The complex aims to increase production capacity and strengthen its market offer.

The visit is part of the CCI-BF's program of activities, which includes meetings with national businesses. The Fassi Industrial Complex's expansion works aim to boost production and enhance its market presence. The company's development contributes to Burkina Faso's economic growth and industrialization efforts.

The CCI-BF's support for the Fassi Industrial Complex reflects the institution's commitment to promoting national industries and economic development. The complex's growth and job creation demonstrate the potential for local businesses to drive economic progress in Burkina Faso.
