The Burkinabè government has initiated a series of public conferences on civism, citizenship, and patriotism, aimed at strengthening the populations' adherence to national values. The launch event took place on October 27, 2026, in Tenkodogo, Boulgou province. The conferences are part of the Presidential Initiative for Community Development and seek to promote citizen behavior and contribute to the nation's refoundation.

The Minister of Justice, Edasso Rodrigue Bayala, presided over the launch event, where he emphasized the importance of civism, discipline, solidarity, and patriotism in national construction. The conferences aim to recall the significance of these values in the context of territorial reconquest and the pursuit of durable peace. The initiative follows a first edition organized in 2025 across Burkina Faso's regions.

The President of Faso's message, read by Minister Bayala, stressed the need for a change in mentality and collective engagement around the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP). Each Burkinabè is called upon to contribute to this dynamic through their behavior and attachment to the general interest. The President urged citizens to maintain a constant patriotic spirit, adhering to the values of rigor that unite and drive the nation forward.

The conferences also aim to provide a platform for dialogue between the state and citizens. Minister Bayala highlighted that they offer populations the opportunity to better understand government actions and engage in discussions on citizenship and patriotism-related issues. The launch event was placed under the patronage of Lieutenant-Colonel Lassané Porgo.

Lieutenant-Colonel Porgo emphasized that promoting RPP ideals requires a better understanding of the authorities' vision and the effective involvement of citizens in its implementation. He noted that the conferences will enable citizens to comprehend the Head of State's vision, the required behavior, and how each individual can contribute to achieving the desired goals.

The public conferences are set to continue in various provinces across Burkina Faso. The Ministry of Justice intends to pursue its actions to promote civism, citizenship, peace, and patriotism among the populations. This initiative is an extension of the government's efforts to foster national unity and development.

Through these conferences, the government aims to encourage citizens to embody values such as love for the country, spirit of sacrifice, integrity, and solidarity. The events are expected to contribute to the nation's growth and stability, as citizens engage in discussions and work together to achieve a common goal.
