The Société Béninoise d'Energie Electrique (SBEE) is upgrading the electricity infrastructure along Benin's Route des Pêches through the Projet d'Appui au Renforcement et à l'Extension du Réseau de Distribution d'Électricité (PA2ERP2). The PA2ERP2 project focuses on the coastal area, particularly the Togbin-Avlékété-Djegbadji-Djondji axis. Work is ongoing on other critical projects, including the Gakpé-Ouidah 63 kV double-circuit high-tension line, which is 79% complete, and the Kpomassè high-tension substation, which is 81% complete. The PA2ERP2 project also involves supplying electricity to strategic sites and infrastructure. The project has provided power to the Avlékété Golf Course and the construction site of the Club Med Avlékété, which is awaiting connection. Furthermore, new distribution substations and medium- and low-tension networks have been built and put into service in several localities.
