The international movement "Those Who Inspire" has officially launched its book dedicated to Benin, featuring testimonies from 41 personalities from diverse backgrounds. The book aims to bring young people closer to local success models and inspire them with stories of audacity, hard work, and perseverance. Canal+ is supporting this initiative to help emerge a more inspired and entrepreneurial Beninese youth.
Benin is now the 17th country to integrate the international "Those Who Inspire" collection and the sixth on the African continent. The book's launch opens a new window on national talents and their exceptional journeys. The movement's initiative focuses on transmission, inspiration, and the valorization of local models, particularly for the youth.
The book is the result of a year's work of prospecting, interviews, and organization, gathering 41 stories of Beninese women and men with rich and diversified trajectories. The book features personalities from different sectors, including Pépé Oléka, Ian Mahinmi, Kismath Baguiri, Noélie Yarigo, Lionel Talon, Ghislaine Loko Djidjoho, and Aïchatou Oukpedjo.
Marlène Plomik, Founder of "Those Who Inspire," stated that the ambition behind the book is to allow young people to discover references they can identify with. She emphasized that the goal is to inspire the Beninese youth, enabling them to see that they have models from their own country, city, village, or neighborhood.
The book not only shares success stories but also gives personalities a voice to share their failures, pains, challenges, and hardships. This approach aims to highlight that successes are rarely the result of chance. Izar Hyacinthe, co-editor of "Those Who Inspire Bénin," found the experience particularly enriching, stating that the project inspired them with the stories they encountered and immortalized in the book.
Hyacinthe expressed her wish that every student, upon closing the book, would feel that their country is rich in talents and that their models are in Benin. The book is expected to inspire young people and provide them with local role models to look up to.
The launch of "Those Who Inspire Bénin" marks a significant milestone in the country's efforts to promote youth inspiration and entrepreneurship. With Canal+ support, the initiative is set to have a lasting impact on Benin's youth, providing them with the motivation and guidance they need to succeed.
