Baobab Burkina recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with a colorful gala dinner in Ouagadougou, bringing together partners and teams to reflect on a decade of commitment, resilience, and support for Burkinabé entrepreneurship. The event took place on November 6, 2026, marking a significant milestone for the institution. Baobab Burkina has established itself as a key player in the country's local economic development since its creation on September 7, 2016.

During the dinner, Missa Adjé, Managing Director of Baobab Burkina, highlighted the institution's founding vision of "unlocking the incredible potential of Burkinabé entrepreneurs by offering simple, fast, accessible, and deeply adapted financial services to their daily realities." He emphasized that Baobab Burkina has made a difference by building on trust, proximity, and a deep understanding of the terrain, unlike traditional banking systems that often require formal guarantees.

Baobab Burkina has injected tens of billions of CFA francs into the real economy over the past decade, financing hundreds of thousands of projects and helping to structure the informal sector. The institution has enabled small survival jobs to become genuine small and medium-sized enterprises, creating wealth and jobs. Adjé expressed pride in the impact made, stating that every line of credit granted and every savings account opened represents a seed of hope planted for the future of the nation.

The institution's commitment to fiscal civism is also a fundamental pillar for supporting Burkina Faso's sustainable development. Do Rego, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, emphasized the Group Baobab's deep trust in the country and its commitment to placing clients at the heart of all priorities. She reassured that the Group will continue to invest massively, innovate relentlessly, and build a more inclusive financial ecosystem in synergy with the government's vision and regulatory authorities' orientations.

Baobab Burkina's ambitions for the coming years are clear, including expanding its network to reach the most remote areas, developing agricultural finance to contribute to the country's food sovereignty, and continuously innovating to adapt to the needs of the entrepreneurial fabric. The institution's partner, Achille Roland Sow, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, reiterated his support for Baobab Burkina and emphasized the importance of a common destiny focused on the structural transformation of the economy and the creation of local opportunities for Burkinabé youth.

Baobab Burkina's remarkable territorial expansion is also noteworthy, with the institution growing from a single agency in 2016 to a solid network of 16 agencies across the country. These include 8 agencies in Ouagadougou, 3 in Bobo-Dioulasso, and 1 each in Banfora, Koudougou, Gaoua, Koupéla, and Tenkodogo. The institution is now poised to continue its growth, driven by digital transformation and technological innovation.

As Baobab Burkina enters its second decade, it aims to remain the reference partner and undisputed leader in financial inclusion in Burkina Faso. With its sights set on the future, the institution is committed to continuing to support Burkinabé entrepreneurs and contribute to the country's economic development.
