The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, noted that the arrival of the Embraer E190 aircraft represents more than an expansion of AWA's fleet. The ceremony was held under the theme, "Expanding Horizon, Elevating West African Connectivity." The Minister of Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, urged domestic airlines to reflect the government's decision to waive duties on parts for domestic airlines in their fares. He believes that this measure, combined with the deployment of larger aircraft, can make domestic air travel more accessible to Ghanaians.
