The Arab Bridge Shipping Company recently held its 88th general assembly meeting, attended by key officials including Egyptian Minister of Transport, Engineer Kaml El-Wazir, and Jordanian Minister of Transport and Minister of Labor, Dr. Engineer Nidal Qatamani. The meeting reviewed the company's performance during the first nine months of 2026, which showed significant growth and record-breaking financial results.
According to Adnan Al-Abdalla, General Manager of the company, the financial results for the first nine months of 2026 showed that profits exceeded $40 million, a historic high since the company's establishment. The company's capital, assets, equity, and revenues also reached record levels. Additionally, the number of trucks transported increased by 15%, and passenger traffic on the company's vessels continued to grow.
The company's growth is attributed to its strategic plans, including the expansion of its fleet and the introduction of new vessels. Two new vessels, the "Al-Jisr" and the high-speed boat "Ashur", have joined the company's fleet, increasing its capacity to transport trucks and passengers. The company's fleet now consists of 11 vessels, with plans to add more in the future.
The company's expansion plans include the development of new shipping lines, including the Safaga-Duba line, which is a key route for transporting passengers, trucks, and goods between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The company aims to enhance its presence in the Red Sea region and beyond.
The company's growth strategy also involves investing in infrastructure and maritime services projects. Two major projects include the development and operation of a boat maintenance and repair facility in Sharm El-Sheikh, in partnership with the Red Sea Ports Authority, and the management and development of a passenger terminal in the port of Aqaba, in partnership with the Aqaba Development Company.
