The APSU Secretariat has expressed its congratulations to St Augustine's College for their impressive win in the 2026 National Investment Quiz. This victory marks the college's second consecutive win, following their success in 2025. The Secretariat described this achievement as a source of pride, highlighting the importance of the National Investment Quiz in promoting financial literacy among senior high school students.

The National Investment Quiz is an annual competition that aims to build financial literacy among senior high school students and inspire future leaders in Finance, Economics, and Business. The 2026 grand finale featured four schools: St Augustine's College, Mfantsipim School, Prempeh College, and Corpus Christi Senior High School. These schools competed in a closely contested battle that went down to the final rounds.

In the competition, Mfantsipim School initially took the lead with 12 points in the opening round, while Prempeh College and St Augustine's College had 10 points each. Corpus Christi had 5 points. However, St Augustine's College responded strongly in the second round, moving into the lead with 19 points. The competition remained tight in the third round, with Corpus Christi and Prempeh College each scoring 13 out of 15.

The fourth round gave St Augustine's College some breathing room as they moved to 40 points. Mfantsipim followed with 36, Prempeh College had 33, and Corpus Christi finished the round on 23. The riddle round produced some of the most tense moments of the contest, with all four schools missing the first riddle after buzzing in. St Augustine's College's consistency across the competition ultimately gave them the advantage needed to retain the trophy.

The APSU Secretariat expressed its appreciation to the contestants, coordinators, Steering Committee, College Management, and staff for their contributions to the victory. They also thanked APSUnians worldwide for their "unflinching support" throughout the competition. The Secretariat described the National Investment Quiz as a vital platform for building financial literacy and inspiring future leaders.

The competition focuses on investment and financial literacy, giving students an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of areas including stocks, bonds, and investment fundamentals in a competitive setting. This year's competition saw a strong performance from the participating schools, with St Augustine's College ultimately emerging as the winner.

The APSU Secretariat stated that they were "very gratified" by St Augustine's College's back-to-back success in 2025 and 2026. The Secretariat's congratulations and appreciation reflect the significance of this achievement and the impact of the National Investment Quiz on promoting financial literacy among senior high school students.
