The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has announced Safriel Glah, a retired general manager at NNPC Limited, as its deputy governorship candidate for Adamawa State. Glah will run alongside the party's governorship flagbearer, Abdulrahman Haske. Glah retired from NNPC Limited as General Manager and Head of Environment, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). A Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), she is recognized for her leadership in engineering, environmental sustainability, and community development. Her career spanned over 34 years in Nigeria's oil and gas sector. Glah promised to complement Haske's vision with dedication and administrative rigour if elected.
In her acceptance speech, Glah thanked the APM leadership and citizens of Adamawa State for their trust in her. She vowed to support Haske, complement his leadership, and work with their team to promote inclusive development, opportunity, accountability, and sustainable progress. Glah expressed her readiness to listen, work, and serve the people of Adamawa State.
APM National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle, and Adamawa State Chairman, Badejo Bello, expressed confidence in the Haske-Glah ticket. Dantalle noted that the APM crafted a ticket that balances private enterprise with public governance experience, creating a platform for economic growth, job creation, and institutional reform. Bello stated that Glah's emergence has boosted the party's electoral prospects ahead of 2027.
