The International Energy Transition Salon (SITE) is scheduled to take place in Tunisia from October 1-3, 2026. This year's event, themed "Investing and Innovating to Accelerate Energy Transition," aims to bring together industry stakeholders to discuss and explore opportunities for advancing the country's energy transition. The event is expected to draw over 700 guests and participants, as well as approximately 2,500 visitors over the three-day period.
The SITE event will feature participation from more than 60 Tunisian and foreign companies in the energy sector, along with 10 startups and delegations from countries such as Italy, Germany, and Libya. The academic aspect of the event includes six international conferences focusing on major sector challenges, including national strategy and large-scale energy projects, renewable energies and storage, and the generalization of solar energy for SMEs and consumers.
The conferences will also cover topics such as electric mobility and carbon tax, with the objective of identifying means to accelerate the transition and reduce the country's energy dependence. Business-to-business meetings will be organized to bring together companies, investors, financial institutions, and experts to discuss cooperation projects, partnerships, and financing opportunities.
On the final day of the event, participants will showcase new solutions and technologies, particularly in solar energy, project securitization, and financing. The salon is being organized by the Chamber of Syndicates of Photovoltaic (UTICA), in partnership with the Tunisian Company for Electricity and Gas (STEG) and the National Agency for Energy Management (ANME).
