The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has appealed to Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027. The council framed the upcoming election as a choice between maintaining economic stability and reverting to an era of unviable subsidies, artificial exchange rates, and reckless borrowing. APC Presidential Campaign Council spokesperson Mallam Alwan Hassan said re-electing President Tinubu is critical for stability, sustainability, and consolidating progress achieved over the past three years.

According to Hassan, the administration's economic reforms are unavoidable measures necessary to secure the country's future. He argued that President Tinubu's administration has completed the painful work of resetting Nigeria's macroeconomic foundation and is now positioned to deliver direct dividends to Nigerian families. Hassan cited household relief, expanded domestic food production, job creation, and grassroots development as central to the administration's consolidation plan.

Hassan outlined further gains ordinary Nigerians stand to gain from a second term of Tinubu's presidency, including lowering the cost of living by stabilising consumer prices as inflationary pressures continue to ease. He also cited the expansion of employment opportunities driven by sustained capital inflows, following over ₦3 trillion in fresh investments recorded in the telecommunications sector alone between 2025 and 2026.

The presidential spokesperson pledged continued direct resource allocation to local governments, protecting the landmark Supreme Court judgment that freed local councils from state joint account dependencies. Hassan advised the electorate, saying, "This is not the time to abandon the journey halfway. You do not dismantle a bridge because crossing it is difficult. You complete it so that millions can reach the other side."

Hassan highlighted the courageous choices that defined President Tinubu's first term, including ending the decades-long, unsustainable fuel subsidy regime and unifying the fragmented foreign-exchange market. He noted that these bold moves eliminated arbitrary arbitrage that previously enriched a privileged few while starving critical public sectors of funding.

To validate its case for re-election, the APC campaign presented a record of infrastructure, education, and security deliverables across the six geopolitical zones. They include a tripling of monthly disbursements from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) to federal, state, and local governments, and the establishment of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which provides interest-free tuition coverage and monthly living stipends to hundreds of thousands of tertiary students.

The APC campaign also cited significant gains in the fight against insecurity, stressing that the country has seen major improvements in military hardware and operational mandate, resulting in the elimination of notorious bandit commanders and the restoration of commercial farming in previously overrun regions of the North-West and North-East.
