Angola is participating in the China-Africa Industrial Cooperation Forum and the Seminar on the Second China-Africa Trade Index, taking place at Zhejiang Normal University in Jinhua, China. The Angolan delegation, led by Arlindo Isabel, head of the minister's office for Industry and Commerce, consists of 21 members. They are attending the seminar on electronic commerce, which runs from October 23 to November 12. The opening session features speeches from Lin Yigang, vice-rector of Zhejiang Normal University, Yu Jiamu, vice-mayor of Jinhua Municipal Government, and Arlindo Isabel.

Arlindo Isabel's presentation, themed "China-Angola Cross-Border E-Commerce: Current Situation, Policy Guidelines, and Future Prospects," outlines four priorities for developing trade between the two countries. These priorities include simplifying procedures and strengthening legal security, improving product quality and certification, developing logistics infrastructure and services, and training young entrepreneurs. Isabel aims to promote stronger economic ties between Angola and China.

As part of economic cooperation, Angola will propose three concrete initiatives for the next two to three years. A pilot project will focus on exporting three to five national products, including coffee, honey, processed fruits, beauty products, and handicrafts. This project aims to boost Angola's exports to China. The proposal also involves creating a national pavilion in partnership with Chinese e-commerce platforms.

Another initiative involves implementing a permanent program to train young entrepreneurs, with activities in Jinhua and Luanda. This program seeks to enhance the skills of Angola's youth in e-commerce and entrepreneurship. The training program is expected to strengthen economic ties between Angola and China.

The China-Africa Industrial Cooperation Forum and the Seminar on the Second China-Africa Trade Index bring together various stakeholders to discuss trade and economic cooperation between China and African countries. The events provide a platform for countries to share experiences, challenges, and opportunities in trade and investment.

The forum will conclude with a roundtable discussion on the practical application and future prospects of the China-Africa Trade Index, followed by a presentation summarizing the proceedings by Zhejiang Normal University. The discussions are expected to yield valuable insights into enhancing trade relations between China and Africa.

The Angolan delegation's participation in the forum and seminar demonstrates the country's commitment to strengthening economic ties with China. By proposing initiatives such as the pilot project and training program, Angola aims to increase its exports to China and promote economic growth.
