The IV FLIT – Feira Literária do Tatuapé is set to highlight Angolan and Brazilian literature through a cultural exchange initiative. The initiative aims to bring together writers and poets from both countries, focusing on the connection between Luanda and São Paulo. This effort was presented during an interview on the Tatu Conecta program, featuring Brazilian musician and writer Walter Egea and Angolan poet Ismael Farinha.

The collaboration has resulted in the Poética Ponte anthology, a collection of poetry from five Brazilian and five Angolan poets, along with Egyptian illustrator Mustafa Assem. According to Walter Egea, the publication aims to create a literary connection between São Paulo and Luanda. He emphasized that this project is a pioneering initiative in literary rapprochement between writers from both countries.

The anthology features authors such as Ismael Farinha, Adão Zina, Igino Andrade, Lena Santos, Ian, Amauri Falabela, Delmira, Gongita Diogo, Guilma Sena, and Walter Egea. Ismael Farinha stressed the importance of developing literary projects that transcend national borders and promote dialogue between cultures. He highlighted the need to build bridges between Angola and Brazil through artistic creation.

The Poética Ponte anthology is the first to bring together contemporary Brazilian and Angolan poets. Walter Egea stated that the publication was born from the desire to create a literary bridge between the two countries, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Angola's independence. This literary exchange aims to strengthen cultural ties between the nations.

Ismael Farinha emphasized the significance of literature and culture in bringing people together, citing the Brazilian influence on Angola through music, television productions, and literature. He mentioned Brazilian authors such as Carlos Drummond de Andrade and Carolina Maria de Jesus as references in the cultural exchange between the two countries.

In addition to participating in the Poética Ponte anthology, Ismael Farinha has also presented his second poetry book, Se o tempo fosse apenas tempo. The book explores themes of memory, human and social consciousness, denunciation, and hope. He plans to present the work in Angola on December 3 at the União dos Escritores Angolanos.

The IV FLIT – Feira Literária do Tatuapé is scheduled for November 14, 2026, in São Paulo. The event is the brainchild of Walter Egea and organized by the Movimento dos Sem Palco (MSP). The literary fair provides a platform for Angolan and Brazilian writers to share their work and foster cultural exchange.
