The new quay is expected to be operational by 2027. This expansion will allow the port to handle increased traffic and improve its overall efficiency.
Another significant project is underway at the Annaba port, where a new 1,600-meter-long metal quay is being built. The quay will have a depth of 16 meters and will be capable of handling 10 million tons of phosphate per year. The project is 55% complete and is scheduled for completion in March 2027. This new quay will enable the port to accommodate larger vessels.
The Annaba port project is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy, creating between 5,000 and 10,000 direct and indirect jobs. The project will also increase the port's export capacity by 10 million tons per year. Additionally, the port of Djen Djen is undergoing a major transformation, with the construction of a new 20-meter-deep basin and 122 hectares of storage facilities.

A new container storage platform with a capacity of 10,000 units has been built at the port.
