The Algerian police have dismantled a criminal network operating in the Boumerdès province, recovering over 1.5 billion centimes, foreign currency, precious metal, a motorcycle, and a vehicle. According to a statement by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the police judicial services of the Boumerdès wilaya conducted the operation, targeting a group involved in house thefts. The intervention put an end to the group's activities, although the number of arrests made has not been disclosed.

The recovered assets include a sum of over 1.5 billion centimes, equivalent to more than 15 million Algerian dinars. In addition to the large sum of money, the police also recovered foreign currency and a quantity of precious metal. A motorcycle and a vehicle were also seized, which likely served as tools for the group's activities. The DGSN did not provide details on the circumstances of the arrests.

The police judicial services of Boumerdès handled the investigations, dealing with criminal cases related to property and personal security. The dismantling of this network demonstrates the efforts of security services to combat property crimes. The judicial procedure is ongoing for those implicated, and it is expected that they will be presented before the competent prosecutor.

In a related operation, the Constantine province police have also dismantled a criminal network involved in trafficking psychotropic substances. The police seized 23,134 capsules of psychotropes and arrested three suspects. A sum of over 1.4 billion centimes, a vehicle, and a prohibited white weapon were also recovered.

The Constantine operation began with precise information about a suspect who was selling and storing psychotropes in the city. Police investigations led to the identification and arrest of the suspect, who had 107 capsules of psychotropes and a large sum of money on him. Further investigations identified two other individuals, including a woman, who were also arrested.

The suspects were presented before the prosecutor of the Republic near the El Khroub court. The judicial procedure is ongoing, and the justice system will determine the next steps in this case. This operation is part of the broader efforts by Algerian security services to combat the trafficking of psychotropic substances.

The Algerian authorities have made the fight against psychotropic trafficking a national priority. Recent operations demonstrate the commitment of security services to addressing this issue. Cooperation between citizens and police services is encouraged to facilitate investigations and protect family properties.
