Algerian Youth Minister Mustafa Haidawi recently visited Jijel province to inaugurate several youth and sports facilities. He launched a youth center, "Maison de Jeunes Chahid Brehom Youssef," in Jijel city, which was previously the site of the "Dar Er-Rabitat" and "Wilayat de la Jeunesse." The minister emphasized the importance of state policies aimed at establishing youth centers, allocating a budget of one billion centimes over two years to equip youth institutions in Jijel. He stressed the need to make these institutions attractive to young people by preparing effective programs that involve them in designing and planning activities. This approach aims to foster a sense of belonging among young people and encourage their participation in community life.

During his visit, Haidawi also inaugurated the "Complexe Sportif et de Loisirs Mujahid Roula Hadi" in the Boudjellal area. This complex is part of efforts to develop sports and recreational facilities, providing young people with spaces for leisure and personal development. The minister highlighted the importance of transforming underutilized land into vibrant spaces that engage young people in constructive activities.

The minister visited the "Centre de Loisirs et de Détente pour Jeunes 'Andro'" in El-Awana municipality, where he assessed the facility's condition and provided guidance on its renovation and modernization. He instructed officials to prepare a comprehensive study to upgrade the center's infrastructure and services, aligning them with the expectations of young visitors.

Haidawi also evaluated a project to build a youth camp in Bazoul, Tahir municipality, which has a current completion rate of 45%. He urged stakeholders to accelerate the project's completion, ensuring its timely delivery to provide young people with essential services and facilities.

The minister praised local authorities' efforts to revive stalled projects and reassess their financial feasibility. He confirmed that various proposals would be studied, particularly those related to allocating financial envelopes for project re-evaluation.

The visit concluded with Haidawi's inspection of a center for collecting and organizing aid, where over 1,700 young volunteers from across the country contributed to relief efforts following recent fires.
