Algeria's Minister of Housing, Urbanism, City and Territorial Planning, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, announced on Saturday in Algiers that the distribution of 133,780 homes and various aid packages will begin on Sunday, November 1. This initiative coincides with the 72nd anniversary of the country's glorious National Liberation Revolution. The announcement was made at a national meeting with sector officials, wilaya directors, and institution heads under the ministry's supervision.

The homes to be distributed include the first units of the "AADL3" program, with key handover set to start on Sunday at 10:00 AM. This initial quota comprises 3,789 homes across 12 wilayas, achieved within a "record" timeframe following the opening of subscriptions on a dedicated digital platform in July 2024. According to Belaribi, this marks the actual start of the distribution process, which will continue in subsequent stages.

The total of 133,780 homes includes 36,865 public rental housing units (LPL), 36,382 units under self-construction in social allotments, 27,440 rural construction aid packages, 17,538 free promotional homes (LPL), 11,566 aided promotional homes (LPA), and 200 public promotional homes (LPP). This comprehensive program aims to address various housing needs across the country.

The distribution of these homes and aid packages is a significant step towards addressing Algeria's housing challenges. The government's efforts to provide affordable housing and support to citizens are ongoing, with various programs and initiatives launched in recent years. The housing sector remains a priority for the Algerian government.

The announcement was made at the ministry's headquarters, attended by sector officials, wilaya directors, and institution heads. The meeting aimed to coordinate efforts and ensure a smooth distribution process. The government's commitment to improving housing conditions and providing support to citizens is evident in this latest initiative.

The distribution of homes and aid packages will take place across various wilayas, with a focus on addressing the needs of different regions. The government's approach involves a combination of public and private sector involvement, as well as community engagement. This multi-faceted strategy aims to achieve sustainable and equitable development.

The housing program is part of the government's broader efforts to promote economic growth, social stability, and improved living standards. The distribution of homes and aid packages is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of thousands of Algerian citizens.
