Algeria has recently launched a series of export operations for electronic and electromechanical appliances manufactured in the country. The operations, which took place in the wilayas of El-Tarf, Sétif, and Bordj Bou Arréridj, mark a significant milestone in the country's efforts to increase its presence in regional markets. The export operations were attended by high-ranking officials, including Abderrahmane Saâdi, adviser to the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion.
One of the export operations involved the shipment of ten containers of electromechanical appliances, including refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines, to Tunisia. The appliances were produced by the "Biolux" company, and the operation was launched in the border town of Souarakh, in the wilaya of El-Tarf. According to Saâdi, this operation demonstrates the quality and competitiveness of Algerian products and highlights the strong demand for them.
Saâdi emphasized that this export operation is a tangible result of the country's economic policy, which aims to support national production, encourage industrial investment, and promote economic diversification. He noted that the operation is not just about exporting industrial products but also about consolidating the national orientation towards supporting the national economy and increasing non-hydrocarbon exports.
In addition to the export operation to Tunisia, three other shipments of Algerian-made products were launched from Sétif to Tunisia. Two of the shipments involved electronic and electromechanical appliances, including 342 dishwashers and 216 refrigerators produced by "Sinova Samsung", as well as 770 refrigerators, 400 freezers, and 240 washing machines produced by "Iris".
The third shipment from Sétif consisted of 84 tonnes of food packaging products produced by "Biaxial Films Packaging". These operations were supervised by Yacine Zouaoua, central director at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, and Mustapha Limani, wali of Sétif. Zouaoua highlighted the importance of these operations in promoting Algerian products and supporting the national economy.
According to Zouaoua, the export operations from Sétif demonstrate the region's status as an important industrial hub and the contribution of private economic enterprises to supporting the national economy and promoting non-hydrocarbon exports. He emphasized that these operations open up new perspectives for Algerian products in regional markets.
The recent export operations mark a significant step forward for Algeria's national electromechanical industry, which is increasingly making its presence felt in regional markets.
