The wilaya of Béjaïa in Algeria has begun its 2020 professional training session, with registration starting on February and running until February 13. A total of 8,621 educational places are available for this session, according to the Director of Professional Training in Béjaïa. The session is set to officially commence on February 23. This second session of the 2019/2020 academic year aims to provide training in various fields.
Twenty new specialties have been introduced in response to the aspirations of young people and the demands of the local job market. These new specialties will enable trainees to attain the level of higher technician. Some of the new specialties include installation of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, construction site management, quality control in the food industry, and computer science and databases.
The new specialties will be offered at various training centers, including the CFPA de Beni Maouche and Bordj Mira, which will provide training in construction site management. The CFPA de Sidi Aïch will offer quality control in the food industry, while the CFPA d'El Kseur will provide training in computer science and telecommunications. Other centers, such as the INSFP de Béjaïa, will offer training in computer science and networks.
Of the 8,621 available educational places, 3,716 are dedicated to qualifying training, 2,800 to apprenticeship training, 1,400 to residential training, and 250 to bridge training. Bridge training, which offers around ten specialties, is designed for those who wish to improve their skills and move to a higher level.
In addition to these training programs, there will be evening training sessions with 1,200 available places and training programs in partnership with local associations, offering 455 places, mainly in the agricultural sector. The partnership with local associations aims to provide training that meets the specific needs of the region.
Another significant development in the wilaya of Béjaïa is the transformation of three CFPA centers into INSFP centers. This brings the total number of INSFP centers in the wilaya to five. The transformed centers include the CFPA de Bordj Mira, CFPA d'El Kseur, and CFPA d'Akbou, which will offer advanced training programs.
The INSFP centers will primarily provide training at the higher technician level. This development aims to enhance the quality of professional training in the region and provide young people with the skills required by the local job market. The authorities have confirmed that these new INSFP centers will play a crucial role in the development of the region.
