The official launch of Algeria's professional training session for October 2026 took place in Tipasa, marked by the Minister of the sector, Nacima Arhab. This session affects over 400,000 trainees and introduces 23 new specialties across various sectors, including new technologies and renewable energies. The new specialties aim to meet market demands for skills and quality.

Abderrahmane Mezghrani, a study and synthesis officer at the Ministry of Professional Training and Education, highlighted the primary objective of responding to market needs in terms of skills and quality. The ministry also aims to support the country's various structural projects. Mezghrani announced the launch of training programs in the automotive sector in partnership with expert companies.

Mezghrani revealed that the number of new specialties is expected to evolve, with the possibility of launching new training programs throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. The new reference system for training skills allows for flexibility in introducing new specialties. This development aims to keep pace with changing market demands and needs.

Another significant innovation in this session is the creation of 25 technical laboratories, called "Make It Lab," across the country. These labs will be equipped with necessary equipment, including 3D printers, to enable young people to prototype and develop their ideas. The labs aim to provide a practical space for trainees to test and refine their projects.

Mezghrani explained that the "Make It Lab" will provide trainees with the tools needed to create and test prototypes. This initiative supports the development of innovative projects and provides a platform for young people to turn their ideas into reality. The labs will be distributed across the national territory.

The registration process for new trainees is done exclusively online through the takwin.dz platform. This digital process, made possible through collaboration with the Ministry of National Education and the High Commission for Digitization, allows for efficient and streamlined registration. The online system has eliminated the need for paperwork and enables faster processing.

Mezghrani expressed satisfaction with the significant number of new registrations, made possible by the digital inscription process. The elimination of paper-based documentation and the interconnectivity of systems have facilitated the registration process. This development has contributed to the high number of new trainees enrolled in the professional training session.
