The Algerian government has initiated the distribution of housing units under the AADL 3 program, with the first 3,789 keys handed over in 12 wilayas. This marks a significant milestone in the program, which aims to provide 850,000 housing units across the country. The distribution began on November 1, 2026, coinciding with the 72nd anniversary of the start of Algeria's War of Independence.

The AADL 3 program was launched in July 2024, with the opening of subscriptions, followed by the examination of applications in 2025. The program's implementation phase is now underway, with the first batch of housing units being handed over to beneficiaries. Housing Minister Mohamed Tarek Belaribi described the program's progress as a "record timeline," emphasizing the importance of evaluating programs based on their actual implementation.

The AADL 3 program is part of a broader national effort to address housing needs in Algeria. The program is funded through the country's finance laws for 2025, 2026, and 2027, with a total of 850,000 housing units planned. This multi-year financial programming aims to ensure the gradual implementation of the program, providing a significant response to the needs of Algerian families.

In addition to the AADL 3 program, the national housing distribution operation includes other types of housing, such as 36,865 public rental units (LPL) and 36,382 units for self-construction in social lots. The program also includes 27,440 rural housing units, 17,538 free promotional housing units, 11,566 aided promotional housing units (LPA), and 200 public promotional housing units (LPP).

Minister Belaribi emphasized that the distribution of housing units under the AADL 3 program is a significant step towards meeting the expectations of Algerian families. He called on sector officials to maintain coordination and prepare for future distribution operations, ensuring that engagements made to citizens are respected.

The national housing program, initiated by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aims to build and distribute two million housing units between 2025 and 2029. The program reflects the government's commitment to social housing policies and improving living conditions for Algerian citizens, providing access to decent housing for all.

The Algerian government has reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing and intensifying efforts to meet housing demands, under all formulas. With the AADL 3 program and other housing initiatives, the government aims to provide sustainable solutions to the country's housing needs, promoting social equity and improving the quality of life for its citizens.
