A youth leader in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Busari Mustapha, has organized a Youth Summit aimed at mobilizing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election in 2027. The summit, which brought together youths, students, educators, and other stakeholders, focused on responsible youth participation, education, entrepreneurship, party unity, and constructive engagement. Mustapha, who is also the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Leader in Akoko North West, appreciated the attendees for their participation.
During the summit, Mustapha charged young people to abstain from drug abuse and pursue education, acquire relevant skills, and embrace entrepreneurship to become self-reliant socio-economically. He commended the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his impactful contributions to youth development and empowerment in Ondo State, particularly in Akoko North-West. Mustapha described the Minister's efforts in pushing for Tinubu's re-election as outstanding and commendable.
The youths leader emphasized that sustained investment in young people was critical to the future development of Akoko North-West and Ondo State. He urged the youths to take advantage of available opportunities to acquire skills and contribute meaningfully to society. Mustapha also appreciated APC leaders, members, and residents for their continued support for the administration of President Tinubu, noting that unity with the party is crucial for its growth and success.
The Chairman of APC in Akoko North West Local Government Area, Kehinde Obanla, commended Mustapha for organizing the Summit, describing the initiative as impactful. Obanla, who was represented at the summit by Bola Salami, urged party members and residents to sustain their support for the administration of President Tinubu. Similarly, the lawmaker representing Akoko North-West Constituency I in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Fatai Atere, appreciated the people for their support for the APC-led government in the state.
Hon. Fatai Atere, who is also seeking re-election for a second term, called for continued support for the party and President Tinubu. Ogbeni Adojutelegan Adesuyi Gideon, the Director-General of BTO4PBAT, a political support group pushing for Tinubu's re-election, assured the people that APC remained committed to the development agenda for Nigeria. He urged party members to remain united, focused, and committed to the party's objectives.
A chieftain of the party, Hon. Idowu Aiyegbusi, emphasized the importance of party unity, stressing that cohesion among members was essential to strengthening the party and ensuring effective preparations for forthcoming general elections. As part of the summit, an inter-school quiz competition was held involving students from Constituency 1 and Constituency II in Akoko North-West Local Government Area, with the students from Constituency 1 emerging as winners and receiving a cash prize of N100,000.
