In line with directives from Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Ala'a Farouk, and Fayoum Governor, Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghneim, the Fayoum Agriculture Directorate conducted a training session on safe and rational use of pesticides for women in Shuwashna village. The training, which took place at the agricultural services complex in Yousuf Al-Sadiq center, aimed to qualify rural women and promote environmental and agricultural production safety.
The training was led by Dr. Amany Siam, director of the Trichogramma Laboratory and Biological Control. She discussed the importance of safe and rational use of pesticides, proper handling and disposal methods, and adherence to instructions on packaging. Participants were also informed about the use of personal protective equipment to minimize risks to their health and the environment.
The session was overseen by Engineer Zinehem Ashour, director general of agricultural guidance in Fayoum, and attended by Engineer Mohamed Khaled, responsible for guiding centers and rural development, and Engineer Sara Ma'awad, director of the Yousuf Al-Sadiq agricultural administration.
