Africa Panorama Investment Group Limited, a leading construction company, is currently seeking experienced and skilled Trade Foremen to join its construction and projects team in Lusaka, Zambia. The company is looking for qualified individuals to fill various positions, including Painting Foreman, Carpentry Foreman, Plumbing Foreman, Tiling Foreman, Electrical Foreman, and Building/General Construction Foreman.
The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising and coordinating artisans, skilled workers, and laborers within their assigned trade. They will allocate daily tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure that work is completed according to required quality standards, drawings, specifications, and timelines. Additionally, they will be in charge of monitoring the proper use of materials, tools, and equipment, and coordinating with other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
To qualify for the position, applicants must have a minimum Grade 9 School Certificate and proven practical experience in the relevant trade. Previous experience supervising artisans, workers, or construction teams is also required. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, tools, and equipment, as well as good understanding of workplace health and safety, is essential.
The ideal candidates should possess strong practical and technical skills, good leadership and team supervision skills, and good communication and problem-solving abilities. They should be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain discipline, teamwork, and professionalism on site. A Trade Certificate or relevant technical qualification is an added advantage, as well as previous experience in residential, commercial, or large-scale construction projects.
