The Arewa Christians for Tinubu 2027 (ACT-2027) group has reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027. National Coordinator of ACT-2027, Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako, made the statement while commending FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for his infrastructure development efforts in Abuja. Ngbako, a serving Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), praised Wike for commissioning the Dunamis pedestrian bridge, describing it as an example of responsive leadership.
Ngbako urged Wike to expand youth empowerment programmes and political appointments in the FCT. He noted that Wike's infrastructure projects had become a significant feature of the administration's performance. However, Ngbako appealed to Wike to complement his infrastructure agenda with increased opportunities for qualified political stakeholders and young people across the FCT. This, he said, would strengthen community participation and contribute to the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Dunamis pedestrian bridge project was first submitted in 2018 but remained unattended until February 2026, when it was brought to Wike's attention. Wike granted approval within weeks, saying it demonstrated a willingness to address longstanding infrastructure and public safety concerns. The project underscores the importance of collaboration between government and private institutions in providing public infrastructure and improving pedestrian safety.
ACT-2027 is planning a series of zonal prayer breakfasts across Northern Nigeria to mobilise support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections. The programme would commence in the North-West on November 14, followed by Bauchi, and subsequently Jos or Lafia, before culminating in a grand prayer breakfast in Abuja. Ngbako called on Christian leaders, youth organisations, women's groups and other supporters of the President to participate in the programme.
Ngbako highlighted several platforms established to encourage youth participation in support of Tinubu's second-term ambition. These include the National Gbagyi Youth Integration Festival (National GbagyiFe) for Tinubu Renewed Hope 2027, the FCT Abuja Youth Participation Action Community (FAYPAC 2027), and the Gbagyi Youth Association, FCT Abuja. These initiatives aim to promote youth integration, political participation, community engagement and awareness of government policies and programmes.
Ngbako is also chairing the Editorial Board of a forthcoming publication titled Meet President Tinubu and His 52 Managers of Economy. The publication will document the economic policies, reforms and activities of 52 key officials and institutions involved in managing Nigeria's economy. The project aims to present empirical information on the administration's economic policies and the contributions of officials responsible for implementing them.
Wike commended Dunamis International Gospel Centre for investing in public infrastructure through its corporate social responsibility initiative. He urged residents to make proper use of the pedestrian bridge, stressing that such infrastructure was essential to preventing avoidable road accidents and protecting lives. The minister also approved a request for the bridge to be roofed and made additional commitments towards improving the facility.
