Minister Bol emphasized that kindergarten teachers and instructors will be prioritized for capacity-building programs.
International partners, including the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Plan International, and War Child, are driving the initiative. They will work directly with teachers to deliver hands-on mentorship and improve morale. The project aims to address falling school enrollment figures caused by economic pressures. Participating schools will receive learning aids, co-curricular gear, and performance inducements to engage young learners and keep them enrolled.
Bernard Manga, Project Manager at the IRC Coordination Office in Northern Bahr El Ghazal, addressed state officials and stakeholders at the launch. He called for strong collaboration between field teams and local authorities to ensure the project achieves its targets. Manga requested that the Director-General and County Directors of Education work together to realize positive impacts in the selected schools.
