The University of Doba recently organized a series of master's research defenses from September 21 to 26, 2026. The ceremony was officially opened by the President of the University of Doba, Professor Djikoloum Benan Benjamin. The 83 students who defended their master's research comprised 7 candidates in geosciences, 24 in history, 24 in public fundamental law, and 28 in private fundamental law. One of the students, Kossingar Solingar Ferdinand, presented a thesis on "The contractual responsibility of mobile telephone operators in Chad: the case of Airtel and Moov Africa." His presentation sparked interest among the audience.
Ferdinand's choice of theme was inspired by the poor quality of networks provided by mobile telephone operators in Chad. He noted that 90% of the Chadian population suffers from subpar network services. Through his research, he aimed to alert the operators and advocate for improved communication services for the population.
After a rigorous deliberation process, Ferdinand was declared the holder of a master's degree in private fundamental law with a very good mention and an average score of 16. This achievement is a testament to his hard work and dedication to his research.
According to President Djikoloum Benan Benjamin, the University of Doba has made significant progress since its establishment in 2011. He noted that it took 15 years for the university to organize master's research defenses in the fields of history, public fundamental law, geosciences, and private fundamental law. He also announced that master's programs in geography and biological sciences will be introduced next year.
