Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has expressed his support for the P-BAT Door-to-Door movement, describing it as one of the foremost and most coordinated support groups mobilizing for President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027. Speaking through his special adviser on political matters, Chief Collins Cocodia, the governor stated that with groups like P-BAT, the re-election of President Tinubu is sacrosanct. Cocodia emphasized that Bayelsa state remains firmly in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to Chief Collins Cocodia, the Bayelsa state government has registered over 200 support groups, with P-BAT being the biggest and most coordinated among them. He charged members of the group to intensify their door-to-door mobilization, likening their assignment to that of Jehovah's Witnesses who go from house to house to preach. Cocodia also highlighted the achievements of the present administration, citing the availability of funds that has enabled governors to execute projects without interruption.
The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Chief Samuel Ogbuku, has expressed optimism that with President Tinubu's re-election, more of the challenges facing the Ijaw nation would be addressed. He commended Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for floating the P-BAT Door-to-Door Movement, describing it as the strongest support group for President Tinubu and one that has brought Ijaws and other ethnic nationalities together. Ogbuku stated that the Ijaw nation has collectively resolved to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election in 2027.
The National Coordinator of P-BAT Door-to-Door Movement, Comrade Sunday Asuku, applauded the founder and grand patron of the group, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, for his patriotic and visionary leadership in floating a grassroots movement for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Asuku highlighted the bold and transformative decisions taken by the Tinubu administration, including the removal of fuel subsidy, economic reforms, and investments in infrastructure and human capital development.
The Zonal Coordinator of P-BAT Door-to-Door Movement, Chief Pastor Reuben Wilson, stated that Bayelsa state has no reason not to support President Tinubu, citing visible development projects executed through the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, with the support of the President. He explained that the P-BAT Door-to-Door Movement was formed to take the message of the president's achievements directly to communities, units, and wards.
Stakeholders at the expanded stakeholders meeting organized by the P-BAT Door-to-Door Movement in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, have emphasized the need for the re-election of President Tinubu and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections. They noted that as an APC state, there is no reason why President Tinubu and all APC candidates should not be elected.
