ZVEC Group of Companies has announced a job vacancy for a Human Resources and Organisational Development Coordinator. The successful candidate will be based in Lusaka, Zambia, and will work on a contract basis. The role involves conducting an immediate internal HR compliance and workforce audit, as well as developing, updating, and standardizing employment contracts, appointment letters, job descriptions, and staff establishment records.
The Human Resources and Organisational Development Coordinator will be responsible for leading end-to-end recruitment processes, including vacancy planning, advertising, shortlisting, interview coordination, and onboarding. They will also introduce a practical performance-management system with clear objectives, measurable indicators, and regular check-ins. Additionally, the coordinator will develop and implement priority HR policies, procedures, and templates.
The ideal candidate for this role should have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial or Organisational Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage. The candidate should have at least five years of progressively responsible human resource experience, including practical responsibility for recruitment, employee records, performance management, and HR compliance.
The Human Resources and Organisational Development Coordinator will monitor HR-related legal and statutory compliance and coordinate accurate employee information for payroll, NAPSA, NHIMA, and other applicable obligations. They will work closely with the Finance and management teams to ensure seamless operations. The coordinator will also prepare an annual staffing and staff-development plan, identify skills gaps, and coordinate induction, training, and mentoring activities.
The successful candidate will advise the CEO and managers on employee relations, workforce planning, role clarity, discipline, grievances, conflict resolution, and consistent application of approved policies. They will establish HR dashboards and submit concise monthly reports on staffing, vacancies, turnover, attendance, leave, performance, training, employee relations, compliance risks, and actions required.
