When the artist approached her about a project, Zayra agreed to take on the job despite having MOCK examinations the following day. She says the workload was extensive, with the two working from 6am until midnight.
Zayra explained that by the time they finished, she was exhausted and concerned about her examinations the following day. She therefore asked to leave and requested payment for the work she had completed. However, she claims she was shocked to discover that the artist did not have even a quarter of the amount reflected on her rate card.
The artist promised to clear the outstanding balance at a later date, but Zayra says that payment never came. The situation reportedly became even more frustrating when the same artist later approached her again, asking her to participate in another challenge promoting their music. For Zayra, that request was difficult to understand given that the previous payment had allegedly never been settled.
The experience ultimately changed their relationship, with Zayra saying she no longer communicates with the artist. "I don't talk to them anymore because I love people who respect their word," she said. While she did not reveal the artist's identity or disclose the amount involved, Zayra's account highlights the challenges content creators can face when professional arrangements are based on personal relationships rather than clearly agreed terms.
