Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has commissioned the remodelled JB Yakubu Secretariat in Gusau, Zamfara State, as part of the state's 30th anniversary celebrations. The commissioning took place on Friday and was attended by past governors of the state, including Ahmad Yarima and Mahmud Shinkafi, as well as Colonel Jibril Bala Yakubu, the Emir of Wuse. The remodelled secretariat was originally built in 1997 by Colonel Jibril Bala Yakubu, who was the first Military Administrator of the state. During the commissioning, Yakubu expressed his joy at seeing the changes that had taken place in the state, saying he could no longer recognise the secretariat. He praised Governor Lawal for his rebuilding agenda and urged the people of Zamfara to support him and work towards unity.

In his address, Governor Lawal thanked the former governors and military administrators for their contributions to the state's development. He promised to continue consolidating on their efforts and to ensure development in all aspects.
