On Sunday, Governor Dauda Lawal inaugurated the construction of a 95km road in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The project includes the construction of new roads and five bridges, connecting several communities, including 'Yandoton Daji, Cediya, Doka, 'Yan Waren Daji, Hayin Alhaji Bedi, Unguwar Joji, and 'Yankuzo to Tsafe.
The project is divided into two phases, with SKY Construction Company handling the first phase, a 47km stretch, and Setraco Construction Company Limited handling the second phase, a 48km stretch. The governor stated that the road will pass through communities where most residents are farmers, playing a crucial role in the state's economic growth.
According to Governor Lawal, the Zamfara State government has taken it upon itself to protect the lives and property of its citizens, which is why the road project is one of the top priorities to restore peace and stability in the state. He emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring the security and well-being of its people.
The governor noted that the reconstruction of the road will facilitate the transportation of goods and services, as well as enhance the movement of security personnel, allowing them to respond quickly to threats or attacks. This project is part of a larger plan to revive infrastructure development across the state.
