The chairman of Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Dr. Olusola Akinbode, has taken steps to improve education in the area by distributing learning materials to pupils. Some of the council's interventions in the education sector include the renovation of a four-classroom block at Ebute-Igboro and an intervention at Yewa Central Primary School, Igan-Alade. Akinbode urged pupils to take their studies seriously and make judicious use of the materials provided, assuring them that the local government would continue to support initiatives aimed at improving education.
Mrs. Ijeoma Nawaedeh of Comprehensive High School (Junior) commended the state and local governments for their various interventions in the education sector. She described the provision of learning materials and improved learning facilities as a welcome development, saying it would motivate both teachers and pupils to perform better.
Other beneficiaries, including Mrs. Rebecca Akinwunmi of United Primary School and Mrs. Florence Bankole of Ayetoro Sector, appreciated the chairman for the gesture, noting that the intervention would contribute to effective teaching and learning. The pupils also expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as timely and beneficial to their academic pursuits.
