Al-Awadi explained that any political solutions that do not include the three references - the outcomes of the National Dialogue, the Gulf Initiative, and UN Security Council Resolution 2216 - would remain temporary solutions and a postponement of the crisis. He stressed that the UN resolution 2216 explicitly stipulates the withdrawal of militias from cities, the handover of weapons to the state's authority, and the return to the political track.
The Yemeni official highlighted that the role of the UN envoy is to implement these decisions, not to devise alternative plans. He also mentioned that the Yemeni government has gathered irrefutable evidence, presented to the United Nations, proving Iran's direct support to the Houthi militia with experts and missiles, in addition to targeting international navigation.
Al-Awadi described the city of Taiz as a "black hole and incinerator" for Houthi military equipment and forces, praising the popular and republican resilience of the city's residents. Regarding the province of Marib, he stressed that the Houthis' insistence on controlling it is not limited to economic ambitions but also aims to break the republican will of resistance.
The advisor to the Yemeni Minister of Information emphasized that the Houthi attempts have failed, and the group has suffered significant losses. He praised the Saudi efforts through the "Masam" project to remove landmines, while criticizing the international community's leniency towards the humanitarian catastrophe and displacement in Yemen.
Al-Awadi called for the Yemeni people to unite and organize popular aid convoys to assist displaced people on the western coast and in Taiz. He also stressed the need for the international community to take responsibility and address the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
