The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Sunday that they had carried out 756 operations against legitimate military targets of the Houthi militia over the past 72 hours. The operations were conducted in various fronts, including Ktaf, Al-Baqa, Al-Jouf, Marib, Al-Bayda, Lahj, and Taiz. The military operations involved the use of aircraft, drones, snipers, field artillery, and rocket launchers.
According to the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majeed Abdullah Al-Nazili, the operations resulted in the destruction and disablement of numerous military vehicles, armored cars, rocket launchers, and weapons depots belonging to the Houthi militia. The operations also led to the neutralization of 2,316 Houthi elements, including 2316 killed and injured militants.
The Yemeni military also confirmed that four Iranian experts, specializing in operating and launching drones and missiles, were killed in the province of Taiz. This development highlights the ongoing Iranian support and expertise provided to the Houthi militia. The Yemeni Armed Forces emphasized that their military operations are conducted in accordance with international humanitarian law.
Despite the Yemeni military's adherence to targeting legitimate military objectives, the Houthi militia continues to fabricate claims of civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, attributing these to the Yemeni Armed Forces. The military described these allegations as desperate attempts to cover up their crimes against the Yemeni people and their resources.
The Houthi militia has been accused of committing atrocities, including the targeting of educational institutions. On September 23, 2026, the militia attacked Amr ibn Al-As school in the Al-Mudaraba district, resulting in the deaths of three civilians and injuring four others. The attack also caused extensive damage to the school and its facilities.
Furthermore, Houthi elements have been planting internationally banned landmines in roads and valleys in Lahj province, posing a significant threat to civilian lives and hindering the movement of residents. The Yemeni Armed Forces reiterated their commitment to fighting Houthi terrorism and protecting citizens, their resources, and restoring security, stability, and the rule of law.
The Yemeni military vowed to continue their efforts to counter threats and protect the Yemeni people, while refusing to allow the Houthi militia to use terrorism and violence to impose their will by force. The military emphasized that their operations are guided by the principles of the September 26 revolution and in accordance with international humanitarian law.
