Nigeria's Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has reaffirmed his commitment to facilitating the re-election of President Bola Tinubu for a second term. Wike, at a stakeholders' meeting of the Rainbow Coalition Movement in Abuja, emphasized his dedication to securing electoral victories for All Progressives Congress, APC, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidates. The gathering brought together leaders from multiple political parties, federal legislators, and community representatives.

The meeting, held at the minister's official residence in Life Camp on Monday, united a broad political coalition. Attendees included the PDP National Chairman, state chairmen of both the PDP and APC, all six FCT area council chairmen, senatorial and House of Representatives candidates from both parties, former members of the National Assembly, and prominent community stakeholders. Wike cited the recent Edo State governorship election as evidence of the viability of such an alliance.

Wike emphasized that electoral success could be achieved through coordinated cross-party engagement between the APC and PDP. He referenced the Edo State governorship election, stating that the victory was a result of the coalition between the legacy PDP and APC. The minister expressed his intention to work with both parties to return President Tinubu and APC candidates for the National Assembly.

Positioning himself as the principal architect of the political strategy, Wike affirmed his commitment to directing political activities across the FCT and Rivers State.
