Kenyan homes are set to get smarter with the unveiling of VON's new range of appliances. The home-grown brand from Hotpoint Appliances Ltd launched the New Wave of VON at VON Tech Day, held at the Sarit Expo Centre on 30 September 2026. The new range includes AI-powered washer-dryer, 4-door fridge, and premium cookers, built around the campaign line "Living Smarter, the New Wave". This new generation of appliances aims to provide technology that fits how people cook, clean, cool, and store food today.
At the heart of the laundry range is the VON SmartWash Washer-Dryer Stack, which takes the guesswork out of laundry. Its AI detects the load and selects a programme to suit it. It then doses the detergent automatically, powered by a direct drive motor. The washer and dryer share one colour control panel, which keeps things neat and simple. This innovation is set to make laundry day easier for Kenyan households.
Refrigeration gets equally clever with the 4-Door Slot-In Refrigerator, built for flexibility. Its convertible 80L compartment switches between fridge and freezer, so storage adapts to your week, whether you are stocking up or hosting. It also offers Metal Cooling, plus Eco/Smart and Holiday modes. Two more models join the line-up: the Bottom-Mount Refrigerator and the Top-Mount Refrigerator, each with unique features such as inverter compressors and energy-efficient ratings.
Cooling solutions are also part of the new range, including an inverter air conditioner that responds to your phone and voice. Wi-Fi and voice control mean you can cool the room without getting up. The range also includes a bladeless fan, a 2-in-1 stand fan, a water dispenser with an ice maker, a portable ice cube maker, and an ice cream and slushie maker. These products aim to provide comfort and convenience for Kenyan homes.
The cooking range has also been expanded with VON's Professional and Premium Cookers featuring SABAF and wok burners and fan-assisted ovens. Flame failure protection cuts off gas if the flame goes out, ensuring safety in the kitchen. Other products in the range include a 5-burner gas hob, a Smart Cooker Hood, and a 115L Built-In Digital Oven with 10 cooking modes, including air fry.
Every VON product is backed by a 24-month warranty, effective from 1 October 2026. This warranty extension is a testament to the brand's confidence in its products' quality. VON's data shows a significant reduction in product returns within warranty, comparable to leading international brands. The brand also offers after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
VON is further expanding its presence in Kenya with plans to assemble its cookers locally from November 2026. The brand will also open its first store at Nairobi Mega Mall on Uhuru Highway by the end of October 2026, providing customers with a dedicated space to experience the new range of products. A new website, www.von.co.ke, has also been launched to make it simpler to discover and buy VON products online.
