The Université de Béjaïa is set to launch a free practical training program in entrepreneurship for its students, regardless of their specialization. The program, scheduled to start in late November, is a collaboration between the university's liaison office with businesses (BLEU), Indjaz El-Djazaïr, and the Béjaïa facilitation center. The six-month training will be led by coaches and executives from major companies.
A total of 150 students will be enrolled in the program, divided into five groups of 30 students each. The training sessions will take place at the Targa Ouzemmour campus auditorium and the facilitation center in Sidi Ali Lebhar. The primary objective of this entrepreneurship training is to teach students how to create and launch their own businesses in a group setting.
During the training, students will develop their skills in their chosen field through workshops and problem-solving exercises. They will also improve their communication and presentation skills, learn about teamwork, leadership, trust, negotiation, decision-making, and risk management, and discover how to overcome challenges. The workshops will challenge students to find innovative solutions to commercial problems using critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
The training program will culminate in a national competition organized by Injaz El Djazaïr at the end of the year, where the winner will represent Algeria in an international competition in a Gulf country. The Béjaïa facilitation center, established in 2016, aims to bridge the gap between the business world, institutions, and central and local administrations. It also seeks to reduce the time it takes to create and restart businesses, promote new technologies, and support entrepreneurs.
The facilitation center provides various services, including managing files that benefit from assistance from funds created by the Ministry of Industry and Mines, helping investors overcome obstacles during the administrative process, and accompanying project creators and entrepreneurs in training and management. The center's goal is to improve the performance of local businesses and enhance their competitiveness.
The entrepreneurship training program is designed to be engaging and fun, with mentors from businesses guiding students through interactive activities.
