In a bid to combat climate change, U.S.-based entities Interstellar Inc. and WorldTel Corporation have signed a Strategic Alliance Agreement to promote environmentally friendly technologies and marketplace solutions. The partnership aims to address funding challenges in tree planting, forest regeneration, and soil health for sustainable climate-friendly agriculture. The agreement was announced as the world debated climate change at Climate Week NYC 2026 and ahead of the UN climate summit (COP31) in November.

The Strategic Alliance Agreement brings together an expanding team that will use market forces to solve funding challenges. The primary purpose of the alliance is to develop a carbon market digital trading platform that allows sellers and buyers of national and global carbon credits an informal voluntary open marketplace. The platform, known as "Ceario Trader," has been designed to support international, regional, and national climate carbon credits regulations.

Interstellar Inc., located in Reston, Virginia, USA, is focused on helping organizations modernize infrastructure to track assets, register and monitor assets, deploy advanced digital capabilities in monitoring assets, and build resilient platforms for growth. WorldTel Corporation, a multi-division technology company based in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, will bring its strengths in technology, connectivity, and customer delivery to the partnership.

The partnership between InterstellarM2M and WorldTel is expected to deliver integrated solutions that support customers' evolving communications needs and help them compete in an increasingly connected global carbon credits marketplace. According to Shon M. Cooper, visionary, designer, and head of R&D at InterstellarM2M, the agreement marks an important step in InterstellarM2M's mission to provide customizable solutions to its clients.

InterstellarM2M had previously signed an innovative tripartite agreement with Liberia Credit Carbon Development and Trading Corporation, LibCarbon.com, and Africa Environmental Watch on September 9, 2024. The agreement aimed at developing "nature solutions" under a program to grow "the right trees" to combat climate change. However, Chairman of Interstellar Inc., Gerald F.B. Cooper, noted that Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) or Not for Profit Organizations face challenges in accessing open free market funding to support tree planting initiatives.

Gerald F.B. Cooper also pointed out that the current model of NGOs and mandatory intervention systems are outdated and have failed to solve global warming caused by CO2 and other emission gases since the Kyoto Protocol adoption. He emphasized that funding has been a challenge for farmers willing to plant the right trees, particularly as mining for minerals and clearing forests to harvest cash crops become more attractive to communities in Africa.

The partnership between InterstellarM2M and WorldTel Corporation has been welcomed by both parties, with WorldTel's co-founder and Vice President, Richard Butler, expressing pleasure in formalizing the strategic alliance. The collaboration is expected to bring together complementary strengths in technology, connectivity, and customer delivery to create meaningful end-to-end values for the organizations they serve.
