The Tunisian government has announced plans to launch two new location-accession projects in the governorate of Sousse in 2027. On August 5, 2026, the construction of 14 collective housing units in the Hached quarter of Sousse Jawhara began. Another project in Sidi Abdelhamid, which plans to build 30 housing units, is currently in the offer evaluation stage. These projects aim to provide decent housing for low- and middle-income households.
The working session was attended by Sousse Governor Sofiane Tanfouri, who emphasized the need to support the implementation of the presidential location-accession program. He stressed the importance of strengthening the social role of the state and ensuring that low- and middle-income households have access to decent housing.
